The New Blue Ridge District:
A Microcosm of Loudoun County

The new Blue Ridge District, named for the gentle blue-grey mountains which traverse its length from north to south on its western edge, is geographically the largest district in Loudoun County. From west to east it encompasses broad swaths of open rural land, unincorporated rural villages, four towns, and large suburban subdivisions. In a sense, it is a microcosm of Loudoun County.

While each of these communities has its unique characteristics, concerns and needs, there is a common theme running through each of them – the need for good schools, affordable taxes, a viable transportation system, and a safe environment. Representing many diverse communities over the years has led me to develop a very broad perspective for governing.

And now, the Blue Ridge District includes Brambleton, Kirkpatrick Farms, part of Loudoun Valley Estates, and the areas in between, adding a new, suburban energy to the district.
